TTL Branch Manager Awarded University of Texas Top Scholarship

April 4, 2017

The Branch Manager of our Austin, Texas location, Carlyn Crow, was recently awarded the Forty Acres Scholarship from the University of Texas at Austin. The Forty Acres Scholars Program chooses 18-24 high school seniors from close to 5,000 applicants to receive a full ride scholarship to attend the university. The recipients "excel academically, distinguish themselves in high school through leadership roles, extracurricular activities and community service, and possess social skills to interact easily with adults as well as peers." The program is run by the Texas Alumni Association, and it provides the Scholars access to some of the most important and influential Texas Alumni across the globe. The scholarship includes a $13,000 enrichment stipend to provide the Scholars with the opportunity to study abroad and begin to fulfill the University's motto: "What starts here changes the world."

Carlyn is excited to study in both the Business Honors Program and Plan II Honors Program next fall at the University of Texas at Austin with her fellow Longhorn Top Tier Learning employees. We are excited to continue to watch Carlyn thrive as she furthers her education at the University of Texas at Austin and wish her all the best.
