Anish created Top Tier Learning in 2014 in his hometown of Naperville, IL. He always loved helping the community, which he combined with his entrepreneurial spirit to come up with a solution to overpriced tutoring. Anish is now a Finance student at the University of Texas at Austin and has worked in corporate finance, private equity, and investment banking roles. His hobbies include traveling, spending time with friends, and convincing his friends why the Chicago Cubs will win it all.
Benji is a senior at Neuqua Valley High School. He enjoys serving the community and utilizing his communication skills and business knowledge to do so. He has served as the Illinois State President of Business Professionals of America and is also involved in many extracurricular activities such as Speech Team, Basketball, and Volleyball. Benji hopes to pursue his business aspirations when he attends college next year and intends on owning his own successful business in the future.
Christian joined Top Tier Learning in 2016 to gain experience working in a technical role for a startup. He is a Computer Science and Finance student at the University of Texas at Austin and has worked in various software engineering roles. He enjoys spending time with friends, attending concerts, and watching sports.
Reed Kurtenbach joined Top Tier Learning during his junior year of high school. He was praised by parents and students for his teaching ability and unique connection he makes with each student he teaches. Reed has now joined the executive team as the Chief Marketing Officer to help market and grow TTL to communities across America. He is a mechanical engineering student at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio while also managing to play college soccer.
Aris Sevastianos is an Accounting major and French minor at The University of Texas at Austin. A native St. Louisan, Aris joined Top Tier Learning in June 2016 and helped onboard multiple new branches around the area of his hometown. Additionally, he has helped rapidly calibrate TTL’s financial and technical infrastructure to accommodate their goals of nationwide expansion.
Giovanni Zinzi joined Top Tier Learning after starting his own tutoring company. At Top Tier Learning, Giovanni led the expansion of TTL to 7 new branches and led the implementation of a new product: standardized test prep. Giovanni aims to extend affordable standardized test prep to all students across the nation. He is a sophomore Finance major at The University of Texas at Austin who loves to play chess, teach, work out, and cook.
Eric Spala is an Accounting and Financial Management major at Bucknell University. He joined Top Tier Learning his senior year of high school as branch manager of Berkeley Heights. Eric is now part of the team as a Vice President, working primarily on marketing.
Michelle joined Top Tier Learning at the end of her junior year as a tutor for the Austin branch. She is a Business major on a pre-medical track at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school in hopes of pursuing a career as an anesthesiologist.
Karlin is a Management Information Systems major at the University of Texas at Austin, and has joined the TTL team as the Director of Marketing. In college, Karlin has earned University Honors for his academic success, and is active in many organizations including the American Marketing Association and Management Information Systems Association. In his spare time, Karlin loves to play sports, watch movies, and learn about technology. His mission here at TTL is to help spread Top Tier Learning across the country.
Derek joined Top Tier Learning in 2017. Prior to Top Tier, Derek was a leader in his high school community, finishing at the top of his class not only in school but also at the Young Entrepreneur's Academy. Derek is a Business Honors and Finance major at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently a Regional Head, working primarily with expansion. Outside of work, Derek enjoys poker, playing Smash Brothers, and exploring nature.
Jonathan is a Computer Science major and Business minor at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, Jonathan is planning to pursue a career in cyber security consulting. His hobbies include playing golf, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
Johans Ballestar is a second year Finance major at The University of Texas at Austin. His hobbies include fitness, nutrition, traveling, and cooking. With a passion for entrepreneurship, Johans hopes to aid the expansion of Top Tier Tutoring to make affordable and effective tutoring an accessible service to students internationally. Johans plans to pursue a career in consulting after graduation.
Jacob became a part of Top Tier Learning in 2017. During high school Jacob was an avid participant in the band program, performing in several ensembles in and outside of school. Jacob is a first-year Marketing major at The University of Texas at Austin. Signing on as a Regional Head, Jacob primarily works in the marketing division of Top Tier. When away from work, Jacob enjoys playing drums, baking, and watching the Patriots lose a football game.
Corey grew up in Naperville, IL and went to Waubonsie Valley High School. Here he participated in clubs such a lacrosse and SkillsUSA. Corey is now a Civil Engineering major at the University of Texas at Austin and is a part of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Urban Studies, and other clubs. His hobbies include lacrosse, soccer, and architecture.
Amish is a senior at Neuqua Valley High School. He enjoys playing soccer at a competitive level and expressing his leadership qualities and hard work ethic to do so. He has served as Captain for the last 10 years on Galaxy Soccer Club, winning the State Championship in 2017. Amish is also part of Principles Advisory Council, Business Professionals of America, and the Indian Heritage Society. Amish plans on pursing his business aspirations when he attends college next year as he hopes to create his own start up on the near future.
Raj Tank is focused on product development of devices and applications at Arvidion in the IOT (Internet of Things) space utilizing the cellular and satellite networks and providing location based services. Arvidion has successfully launched award winning products and services and continues to expand its product and service portfolio. Also, as the Vice President of Engineering for Cricket, Raj had responsibilities for all Engineering, Technology and Operations (ET&O) functions.
Currently, Melissa teaches undergraduate business communication in the top-ranked Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business. Previously, she taught professional communication skills and organizational communication for the Department of Communication Studies in the Moody College of Communication. Melissa has also held academic teaching positions in marketing technology innovations and converting technology to wealth for the M.S. Technology Commercialization programs.
Dr. Robert McBride currently serves as the principal of Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL. His school serves approximately 3,900 students on a campus of two buildings, the Gold Building for freshman students and the Main Building for sophomore, junior, and senior students. Bob has served as the Principal of Glenbard East High School and the English Department Chair at Oak Park and River Forest High School. Bob’s academic interests are in curriculum and instruction as well as literature, particularly African American Literature. Bob earned his doctorate at Loyola University, and he defended a dissertation on mathematics education.
Adam Kirsch is the Chief Executive Officer of Yorango, a startup focused on developing software solutions for the real estate industry. Prior to launching Yorango, he founded and sold Beacon Records (now Daily Beat Media), a music marketing and management firm, and worked in consulting and marketing. In addition to advising Top Tier Learning, Adam has consulted with early-stage ventures as a Partner in the Life Changing Labs incubator in Ithaca, NY.He is an alumnus of Cornell University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Labor Relations and an MBA concentrating in Entrepreneurship & Private Equity.
Dr. Linda LaCoste is the Director of Executive MBA programs at Texas Christian University. In this role, she is responsible for the overall academic and co-curricular experience as well as study abroad programs. Linda also serves as faculty member for the Leadership Development course and as a certified coach, oversees the Executive MBA leadership development process. Prior to joining TCU, she served as the Chair of the Business Department and the Achieving the Dream Coordinator for Tarrant County College-Trinity River campus.
